Annette packs up and leaves for her Gran’s in Sheffield leaving Helen in tears.

Radio Times: Annette makes a surprise decision.

Characters: Annette, Helen, Jazzer, Mike, Pat, Tony

• Helen arrives back at the flat to find Annette has packed and is off to her Gran in Sheffield. Helen tries to stop her but is shocked to find this has been planned. She tries to persuade her to stay, sounding quite desperate, but Annette has decided and she appreciates all Helen has gone but she needs a new start and that’s that. In the end she forces £30 into her hands and offers her more but Annette is on her way.
• Mike is getting stressed about the expansion of round and Jazzer doesn’t think Mike recognises his skills. He has another mate just like him who can sweet talk all the customers with nice legs. And when they join forces to deliver leaflets, Jazzer gets more orders. Seems he isn’t so heartbroken over Fallon at all.
• Peggy has met a new friend at the Laurels whose wife has Alzheimer’s too. He only visits 3 times a week and Pat and Tony hope that might be the way for Peggy over time. While Tony is explaining this to Pat, Helen rings and asks to come round because something terrible has happened.
