Characters: Brenda, David, Jolene, Josh, Lilian, Matt, Pip- Lilian has not had time to research the bridge upgrade but Brenda has; it will indeed be widened, leading to a vast increase in traffic. Despite Matt’s enthusiasm, it’s a property best avoided. So Lilian goes into her meeting with Matt armed with Brenda’s research. Thank you Brenda.
- Josh is taking new photos of Edana for the website and making some cheeky remarks about ‘Grandpa Simpson’ – one of the nicer names he and Jamie had for Jude; Pip is able to appreciate the joke.
- Matt has to concede that they should not bid for Curtis Road. When Brenda brings in the coffee, Lilian suggests that she joins the meeting, being part of the team. Result! After the meeting, left alone with Brenda, Matt feels vindicated over his prediction that Lilian would come round to having Brenda on board; Brenda is more cautious.
- At The Bull, Jolene tells Lilian that Sid’s will was as expected; it’s the fact that it was being read at all that has got to Jolene. She feels she is going mad; everything looks the same but it feels unreal. Lilian assures her that things will get better; it’s been no time at all.
- David is very grateful for Pip’s help this week. She has had a call from Emily, a friend from the Young Farmers. She feels guilty about dropping YFC when Jude came along. Emily asked if Pip wants to go to next week’s show with them. She decides to go with mum and dad and then join up with the YFC; she will see how it goes.
