Radio Times: There is trouble in paradise for Alan and Usha.

• Hayley is running late after a long evening calming a raving Brenda; she has been pressed to help Vicky choose a dress. On the other hand Phoebe is delighted to be a ring bearer at the wedding. Fortunately Elizabeth was up early and has saved the day by preparing for today’s school visit. She often wakes early; Nigel thinks she needs a hobby.
• Usha was back late, so only this morning can Alan ask her why she didn’t tell him that Jim Lloyd was her new tenant. She was busy and did not think it urgent to tell Alan; she had assumed that Shula would hear from her father-in-law. Voices are raised and Alan concludes that Shula and Alistair’s family is not the only one that doesn’t communicate.
• Lilian is showing more interest in her appearance and in incoming phone calls – but they are not for her. She confides to Jenny that she finds life without Matt unbearable.
