Wedding plans proceed apace; more far-reaching than Mike yet realises.

Radio Times: Changes are afoot at Willow Cottage.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • So that Mike can enjoy his honeymoon, he is bringing Jazzer up to speed on all aspects of the bottling plant; Mike would not appreciate phone calls while he is away.
  • Neil is happier for having paid his feed bill; Susan is still moaning about mortgaging the house to achieve this. Nevertheless she plans a treat for Neil and Christopher for supper today: Christopher is such a lovely thoughtful boy to think of doing something nice for his mum. Neil observes that he didn’t actually give her the fruit bowl but it makes sense to Susan: it wasn’t quite right. But she doesn’t know the truth of it.
  • Mike does: lovely thoughtful Chris’s plan was to buy the bowl, which looked rather similar to the lost one, and get his Uncle Keith to smash it in front of his mum, just to see her go into orbit. Alice persuaded him against, so that is why he sold it.
  • It doesn’t take long for Mike and Vicky to write their wedding invitations. Mike’s plan to dispense with presents, suggesting that guests plant a tree somewhere instead, is not to Vicky’s liking: there are a few things they need, although Mike hadn’t known it. And several rooms will need redecorating in a different colour scheme but Mike hadn’t known it. And Brenda is going to help Vicky choose a dress – blimey – he hadn’t know that either. His education is only just starting!
