Brian looks to a successful business venture. Tom decides against a business venture.

Radio Times: Kathy makes an unwelcome discovery, while Tom seeks some business advice.

Characters: Annabelle, Brian, Jamie, Kathy, Pat, Tom

• Annabelle and Brian compare notes on the market scheme. Annabelle thinks Brian’s taking a lot on – and so does Jennifer, who, he claims, is not pleased because she never sees him. There are still lots of legalities to sort out, but Brian’s optimistic.
• At the Bull, Brian talks to Tom about his pie venture, and points out that it would need capital investment. Tom’s only too aware of this, and feels that Brian is getting at him.
• Helen has had a copy of her scan made for Pat and Tony. Pat puts on a convincing act of being delighted; Tom finds it hard to be remotely delighted, but puts on a good act for Pat’s sake. He tells Pat about his encounter with Brian, and shows her his figures. She’s not sure that his projected sales are enough to make this a winner. Tom’s finally convinced. He needs a new product, but this just isn’t the one.
• Kathy has another moan to Pat, and they look on-line for some holiday activities which might cheer Jamie up. Then Kathy finds his Facebook page, complete with a highly embarrassing picture of one of his teachers. She confronts Jamie, who airily tells her he got it from the Jaxx site, and that it’s no big deal. A furious Kathy orders him to remove it.
