  • Jill is hoping that Ruth and David forget her birthday. Sorting Heather out is more important. And Pip is due home soon to move into her new flat in Felpersham. Shula comments that Elizabeth is sounding rather harassed. Helen then arrives to get used to being back in the saddle again. Jill is rather surprised to hear that Helen is hunting. Shula is even lending her kit.
  • Carol arrives to take over Glebe Cottage. She definitely doesn’t want the family photo to be left behind. Jill looks forward to catching up with her goddaughter, Carol’s daughter Anna. Jill tells Carol about Mungo and Carol laughs out loud. She is James’ godmother but she was never very fond of him. They reminisce about old times including Carol’s early years.
  • Harrison comes to visit Fallon to find out why she just dumped him with a text. She says that she couldn’t see any point to prolonging the agony. She didn’t want to spend ages picking over the entrails – they didn’t have a future. He thinks she should at least have called. He says he thought better of her and leaves.
