Christmas Day turns out much better for Jazzer than his wildest dreams.

• Both Rhys and Fallon have hit the spot with their presents, especially Rhys who has planned a weekend for them both in Cardiff to see the rugby and to stay in a posh hotel.
• But Matt’s ‘early rise’ request doesn’t go down so well with Lilian, who is still on New York time. His kind offer to deal with an incoming text on her phone is very rapidly declined – that got her moving!
• At the Aldridge family gathering, Peggy is keen to hear all about Lilian’s visit to New York and she seems quite surprised that ‘Jennifer’ had texted her so often. Is Lilian’s story about to unravel? Alice is very interested in Jim’s article and has ideas about him interviewing Chris. Peggy is a bit down so Lilian suggests a treat. Where would Peggy like to go? Whitby!
• Jazzer is back in The Bull having endured his dysfunctional family lunch. He earlier blagged a Christmas pint from Kenton and is now overjoyed at being invited to Lower Loxley – after all, his mate Jim will be there.
• Lilian gets another phone call; they are getting harder and harder to disguise; this one is attributed to James.
• Back at The Bull, the quiz is over and it’s time for the famous Christmas sing-song – starting with a solo from Jazzer, which was fine until everybody else joined in.
