• Pensioner hurt in Mexican Night fiasco. So reads the headline in The Echo; they had a reporter there, invited by the manager from hell. Poor Caroline, once a hotel loses its reputation it’s a long way back.
• Helen calls Rob; he can’t talk because 70 heifers are arriving any minute. Later on this morning he will have time for a coffee in his office; that’s an offer she can’t refuse. They have both had an invitation to Alice’s 25^th birthday party – a chance to be together even though they can’t be ‘together’.
• Shula encounters Darrell in the churchyard; he is not a pretty sight – and he is very angry. The kicking he got from Eric is all Shula’s fault, so he makes it quite clear that she is to stop interfering in his life. Got it?
• Shaken, Shula rings Alistair who will get home soon. She feels that Darrell is right: she has made things ten times worse. Nevertheless she wants to find him but Alistair counsels complying with Darrell’s wishes; stay away.
• Meanwhile Darrell calls on Rob, bringing to an end his ‘meeting’ with Helen, who quickly makes herself scarce. Any jobs going? Not at the moment but Rob wishes him luck.
