Darrell is arrested. Leonie is refusing to tell James where she is though Lilian suspects.
Radio Times: Jim tries to intervene. Meanwhile, Lynda has to cover her tracks.
Characters: Jill, Jim, Leonie, Lilian, Lynda- Lynda is still worrying about the cook book but everyone else tries to convince her it doesn’t matter. Lilian clearly hasn’t heard about James and Leonie, and Lynda is a bit stumped. She is about to say something when Jim appears and Lilian leaves.
- Leonie is refusing to leave the house in case she is spotted. Lynda tells her it can’t go on, James will find her eventually and Lilian needs to make plans too. Leonie just has a temper tantrum and storms out.
- Jim and Jill are Christmas shopping, Jim refuses to agree to surprises for presents but Jill insists she won’t tell him what she wants. While they are thinking where to go next they hear some drunken singing and Jim is sure it is Darrell. And sure enough, later, Jim spots Darrell shoplifting. Jim confronts him. He also tries to help but Jill says he shouldn’t. He needs proper help and he needs to stay out of their lives.
- Later Leonie does tell Lynda later that her concerns with James are that he is just still a big kid and she is 39 years old and she doesn’t want to be on her own. But on the other hand he does make her laugh. She just needs time to think. And then in the middle of the conversation, James rings Lynda.
- At rehearsals, Lynda still tries to pretend that she hasn’t heard from Leonie. Lilian doesn’t understand why Lynda isn’t worried that Leonie has disappeared. Lynda tries to waffle that it’s always tempestuous with those two but Lilian doesn’t seem convinced.
