Darrell moves nearer to escaping Matt’s unwelcome demands.

• Darrell has good vibes about the job he has applied for in Forsett Magna. He expects to hear today. Elona hopes he has not celebrated too soon and she wonders how Matt will feel about him not being so available. He’ll find somebody else.
• Since her conversion to being Vicky’s number one fan, Brenda is giving her much more attention. When an excited Tom phones with good news while she is visiting Vicky, he is put off. Vicky has been reading about Downs syndrome and it helps: there are positive stories and some lovely photos on the web. And is Mike sharing in this research? Alas, no, he can see only doom and gloom.
• Lilian, who was earlier rather cool with Matt, is enjoying a quiet time in The Bull, though she welcomes Adam’s interruption; he is less than pleased to hear her tell of meeting ‘the lovely Pawel’.
• Back home, Tom is allowed to explain that Kirsty and Frank are both willing to cook sample ready-meals in the Jaxx kitchen. They don’t think Kenton will have a problem with that.
• Darrell has been offered work on restoring a church. He is pleased about that but he had hoped to start straight away; in fact it will be several weeks. He would like to do less for Amside in the meantime but Elona is quick to point out their financial commitments. Matt, who has been trying to contact him for some time, finally gets through.
