David and Ruth are persuaded to take a holiday. Josh makes his peace with Hayley.
Radio Times: Pip has a good suggestion, and Freddie manages to put the work in.
Characters: David, Hayley, Josh, Pip, Ruth- Thanks to Rob’s agency contact, Pip has a temporary milking job; it’s a quite a long drive but there is accommodation available. David rushes off to take Josh to Lower Loxley to administer some much needed halter training to Freddie. The agency think they can keep Pip busy through the summer, so why don’t her parents go away for a break now, while the going is good; Pip and Ruth soon find a promising holiday on the web but maybe they should delay until David comes back.
- While at Lower Loxley, Josh needs to see Hayley – without Dad – to apologise for not being very nice last week. As a result they are back on good terms and Hayley is impressed with his maturity. Meanwhile David gets Freddie started on the halter training and Josh then takes over for a ‘masterclass’. If Freddie can concentrate he could do well on Sunday.
- On his return to Brookfield, David needs little persuasion about the holiday. He has two offspring to be proud of.
