David is angry with Josh. Kirsty is angry with Tom. Lynda is angry with Eddie and Lily
Radio Times: Lynda sizes up the competition, and Lily has a near miss.
Characters: David, Eddie, Josh, Kirsty, Lynda, Tom- While lambing is under way at Brookfield, Josh wants David to admire his farm machinery website. David is duly impressed, but his proud parent mood swiftly changes when Josh refuses to do his share in the lambing shed; he is far too busy with his machinery, hens and marketing. Meanwhile David has to take Lily out driving, so docking the lambs will just have to wait. Josh needs to persuade Eddie to leave fliers for his new business at the cattle market, but Eddie wants a large alcoholic reward for doing so.
- A furious Lynda tracks Eddie down and berates him for stealing her B and B custom. Eddie’s mind is on rabbiting, and he tells Lynda to be quiet, which does little to appease her. She threatens to tell Oliver and Caroline, to which Eddie glibly and untruthfully says it is fine with them.
- Tom brings biscuits and camomile tea to Kirsty. Having asked her how she is, he then goes into misery mode, and tells her he has decided to withdraw completely from the Nuffield scheme. Kirsty points out that this will make her feel responsible, but Tom is adamant. The Brazil trip would have made him think about babies and baby food, and he has no heart for a different project. His mind is made up. That door is definitely closed.
- As Lynda leaves Eddie, still indignant about his guest poaching, she is nearly mown down by Lily, driving far too fast. David apologises profusely, saying that Lily is too distraught to get out of the car, but this is not good enough for Lynda. There are too many bad drivers in the village. Something must be done.
