David thinks he is on top of things at Lower Loxley and everything is going to be fine.

Radio Times: David is in positive mood and Caroline shares an important secret.

• Caroline is doing some decorating at Grey Gables. Lynda is suspicious. It’s odd timing for exterior decorating. She reveals to Ian it’s because the Duchess of Cornwall will be visiting. Ian puts Lynda out of her misery. She thought Caroline was selling up and her job was at risk. Now she just has to fix the rota so she is on duty.
• David has promised to take Pip driving before her test tomorrow. When he says he might not be able to Ruth points out to him he has priorities and she doesn’t believe that some paperwork for a meeting with Graham Ryder can’t wait ’til tomorrow.
• Ruth is really grateful to Brian for all the help he has given her, when she goes to do the milking, David happily tells him he won’t be needed anymore. He is on top of things now. Ruth isn’t impressed – especially with lambing starting in a fortnight.
