Radio Times: Jamie is finding it hard work, and Jolene has some good advice.

  • The sheep-shearing team are doing well, though Jamie is feeling the pace. After a day’s hard work the threesome enjoy a good meal. Ed is impressed with what Jamie has done, and offers him a place on the team, which Jamie accepts gladly. Jazzer has other plans, though. He intends to ask Rob Titchener for work at the new dairy. His pig management skills must be transferable, and there is the possibility of good accommodation.
  • Matt calls at The Bull and is evasive when Jolene asks after Lilian, but says she is tying up loose ends at work before they go on holiday. When Matt goes to talk to Rob, Jolene rings Lilian, who is, of course, sobbing and panicking because she has left perfume at the love nest. Jolene says she will get cover and come round; they will go to the flat together.
  • Lilian’s state of mind is no better once they reach the flat. She wants to back out of the holiday with Matt. Jolene takes charge, offering to store the picture Paul bought for Lilian. After a call from Matt urging Lilian to come home and pack, Jolene makes Lilian face up to her situation. Paul has gone; Matt loves her and they make a wonderful team. Since Lilian didn’t leave Matt during the affair, there is no point in throwing everything away.
