Tony hears some unwelcome news. Lilian has no interest in going on holiday.

Radio Times: Helen goes kite flying, and Pip is back on track.

  • Meeting Tony, Rob lets slip the fact that Tom has been to tell Brian about his ready meals. Tony is furious, feeling that Tom has gone behind his back and given Brian yet another opportunity to undermine what Pat and Tony stand for.
  • Pip is about to take delivery of her new car and loses no time in patronising those she meets. She asks Rob if he knows of any relief milking work; he gives her the number of an agency. Then she checks that Tony knows she is manning the Gourmet Grills van for the farm sale.
  • Matt tells Lilian to get a move on. She has no idea where her passport is, she has not started to pack, and she displays zero interest in any aspect of the holiday, even the offer of buying furs and jewellery. Can it be that Lilian does not want to go shopping in Montenegro? In the end Matt has to pack for her.
  • Helen takes Henry up Lakey Hill to fly his kite. They meet Rob, who lends a hand, and Helen is able to be her flirtatious self, inviting Rob to come with her to a food festival.
  • Even Tom notices that Tony has gone quiet, but is taken aback when Tony launches into a tirade against Brian. Later Helen tries to defend Tom, but by now Tony is at full spate as he denounces Brian for just about everything.
