Ed’s accounts are a real mess and Neil persuades him to get some help from Ruth.
Radio Times: Will refuses to hold back, and Vicky feels pampered.
Characters: Ed, Eddie, Mike, Neil, Vicky, William- Mike is spoiling Vicky on her birthday with breakfast in bed. She is really enjoying her presents and there is still the day in Cheltenham next week to look forward to.
- William continues to whine about Ed and this time chooses Eddie as the victim. When Will moans that Ed can’t even keep a roof over his families head, Eddie reminds him that he couldn’t either. Eddie tells him how lucky he is with the house with the job and the inheritance and when Will brings up the drugs Eddie is furious. Eddie says Ed is setting a better example to George than Will is. Ed is showing that families pull together and would he really not want George to help Keira if she were in this problem. It’s time he found some compassion. And he’d better change his attitude before Christmas or Clarrie is going to have something to say too.
- Neil looks through Ed’s accounts and they are far worse than he thought. Ed is living from hand to mouth with no plan or idea of how much money he really has anywhere. He even uses the Single Farm Payment to pay ready bills. Neil tells him he isn’t having a go. There is no shame in getting help. It’s not his fault that he has never learned and he persuades him that Ruth would be a good person to help. She is an expert in dairy management.
