Ed seems to be making a bit of an effort. Things get a little out of hand when Mike tries to comfort Clarrie.
Radio Times: Mike goes a step too far.
Characters: Clarrie, Ed, Eddie, Mike, Oliver, Sid- Things are still pretty tense between Clarrie and Eddie. Eddie doesn’t sound too impressed that Clarrie is going round to spend time with Mike.
- Oliver challenges Ed on whether he was taking drugs. He admits to smoking cannabis but not to anything else. Oliver tries to persuade him to go to the cricket but Ed can’t face it.
- Clarrie has got a bit carried away with baking biscuits. It takes her mind off things. Mike admits he also had to get absorbed in things on Betty’s birthday. It was really tough. But he finds it useful talking to Clarrie – at least she understands. So she stays to cook him supper.
- Sid is getting ready for Matt’s birthday party but Jolene isn’t impressed at the way Lilian is trying to take over things. She’s invited half of Felpersham.
- Clarrie tells Mike things still aren’t good between her and Eddie. She tells him they are hardly speaking. He’s said he never wants to see Ed again and she can’t understand it. She just goes and sits in the car outside Grange Farm, just to catch a glimpse of him. She bursts into tears and Mike tries to comfort her with a hug. But things seem to get a bit out of hand and Mike apologises but Clarrie rushes off. What has Mike done?!
- Fallon is suddenly interested in the cricket. Oliver is convinced that it’s because she fancies Kevin but Sid isn’t sure but then, the course of true love never did run smooth.
