Radio Times: There is a surprise visitor in the village, and Joe has got his feet under the table.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Joe is wondering around the village in a fake fur coat and a leopard onesie. But he’s happy enough with a pedicure and a steam room to keep him going. Ed says his wedding reception is now going to be at Bridge Farm. For some random reason, Joe insists Ed should get him a cheese and onion pasty.
  • Suddenly Kirsty turns up at Bridge Farm to see Pat. She sees the stand-in Village Shop being built. Kirsty is sharing a flat in Felpersham and felt she needed to come to see what she might be able to do to help. She really wants to know how things are going and is thrilled to know that Tony is coming home. Pat tells Kirsty how much her keeping in touch has meant for them. They really couldn’t expect such kindness. But Kirsty says it’s not their fault. Hugs all round.
  • Charlie confirms that he still wants Ed to do the hedge trimming but Charlie suddenly wants Ed to clear all of the ditches and culverts on the estate at a top rate per metre. But it’s got to be with a confidentiality clause. Ed understands he mustn’t tell anyone – though he isn’t sure why just now. His first start is to tell Joe that his work is not something he can talk about.
  • Kirsty is surprised to hear Ambridge Organics is closing. Pat says it hasn’t been the same since she left. Kirst is very surprised to hear that Helen sees her future as a housewife.
  • Kirsty also visits Fallon. Fallon say that Jolene is getting anxious about talking at Freda’s funeral. Kirsty is also shocked at the state of No.1 The Green. It’s as if it isn’t Ambridge anymore. But Fallon insists it is the people that matters, not the business. Kirsty is the first to tell Fallon that the Grundys were uninsured. Kirsty puts some money behind the till.
