Kenton isn’t terribly happy with David…..

Radio Times: Kenton and Jolene return, while Bert has a bad day.

Characters: Bert, David, Fallon, Jill, Jolene, Kenton

• Jolene and Kenton get back to The Bull after a great holiday and are shocked at the state of the pub. They knew it was bad, but not that bad. It’s clear that Kenton has been splashing the cash as Fallon sees Jolene is wearing a new ring and they’ve been on a boat tour of the Great Barrier Reef. They are horrified when they hear that Freda has died.
• Bert plans Freda’s funeral with Jill and reminisces over the past – their honeymoon, their Golden Wedding etc. He asks Jill to do the eulogy and he will be reading one of his own poems. How will he manage without her? She was the best wife a man could ever have.
• David is off to the The Bull to break the news to Kenton. After a brief chat with Kenton saying what he will do to improve The Bull once the money from the sale comes through, David asks for a private chat. Kenton completely loses it. David tries to reason with him but Kenton isn’t having any of it. He’s maxed his cards out. Kenton even tries to blame David for the floods and screams that David has led him on and ruined people’s lives. He then throws him out.
