Characters: Clarrie, Eddie, Joe, Kathy, Nigel, Ruth- The prospect of his wedding anniversary fills Eddie with gloom. The turkey market is depressed, and he can’t afford to treat Clarrie to the romantic meal he knows she wants. Joe thinks it should be Eddie’s anniversary treat to spend the evening watching football at The Bull
- With Taylor’s hearing looming, Kathy can’t keep her mind on her work. She tries to stock-take, but gets in a muddle. Nigel tells her to leave it and go home.
- When Kathy arrives back in Ambridge, she has to deal with Eddie’s attempts to sell her turkeys for the café. Clarrie soon puts a stop to that, but then Kathy realises she didn’t set the alarm at Lower Loxley, and she has to go back.
- Eddie tries to sell Ruth a holly wreath. She protests that they are made with Brookfield holly, so she ought to get a free one, but after discussing feed prices and the problems with the depressed poultry market with Eddie, she backs down and says she’ll buy one.
- At Lower Loxley, Kathy is terrified to hear someone in the shop. But it’s only Nigel, sorting out the stock for her. He’s very concerned for Kathy, and offers plenty of support. Kathy is touched.
