  • Elizabeth is delighted to run into Richard as she shops for a birthday present for Shula. He quickly asks her to help him choose one to, and offers to buy her lunch, which Elizabeth readily accepts. Over lunch and talk of entertaining children, Elizabeth and Richard spot Henry going to the soft play area with Emma and her children. He looks so happy. It must be hard for Rob; Elizabeth thinks bringing up children is hard for any parent.
  • Caroline chats to Shula about Italian villas and gardens, then realises that Shula is not listening; she has the hunt episode on her mind. Caroline thinks she should talk it over with Alistair – but would it really help Helen? Anna must have stacks of evidence by now. Telling the police could land Shula is serious trouble.
  • Ever keen to motivate his team, Harrison discusses motivational reading with a fairly unimpressed Alistair. Harrison thinks Rob’s absence is a shame; Alistair comments that Rob’s behaviour was a bit near the mark at times.
  • Shula meets Alistair at The Bull and they go for a walk. When she tells Alistair that she feels she must tell the police what really happened, he is appalled. She could jeopardise his practice just when he is getting back on his feet after the flood. How could she be so stupid? She could go to prison for perverting the course of justice.
