  • Rex is pleased with the progress on the egg mobile. He tells Shula that there is no way they are going to move back into the caravan, it is wrecked. Rex is helping Bert get his garden ready for the Queen’s birthday. He’s not impressed with the opposition from Lynda but Shula thinks he’ll see her off.
  • Shula is still gossiping about Helen. Nothing of much interest, just reporting what happened at the Magistrates’ Court. Susan carries on that it’s shocking that Jazzer has been sacked when he is only saying what everyone else is thinking. Richard doesn’t sound convinced.
  • Lilian is dressed to the nines for the Borsetshire Businesswoman of the Year. She doesn’t want to let him down. Justin says there is no danger of that. And he wants to thank her for recommending the Fairbrothers. Their business has had a mention in the Echo this week. Elizabeth is looking forward to it but doesn’t have much hope. Shula tells them that Pat seems to be having trouble visiting Helen. She isn’t sure why. Richard tells them he’s heard from Susan that Rob is out of danger. Shula warns him not to believe everything Susan says.
  • In the shop, Susan and Rex look at the article in the Echo. Neil won’t be impressed. He is convinced they are out to steal his business. Susan likes the quote from Justin about supporting the community. Susan says it shows everyone that she was right that Justin was committed to Ambridge from the start.
  • The lunch goes well, some gossip about Lilian’s dress, news that Jazzer has moved in with Fallon and Harrison, how Lily is working hard and Freddie isn’t and that Dan is still in love with Dorothy but he’s off to Canada – are there pages missing in the Ambridge Atlas? Justin makes the announcement of the winners. Elizabeth didn’t win but was runner up. She claims she didn’t really want to win and hated the media but it’s clear she is loving it. And Richard is impressed too.
