Everyone is nervously waiting for the verdict.
Radio Times: The truth comes out for Jill and Phil.
Characters: Elizabeth, Jamie, Jill, Kenton, Phil, Sid- Kenton is spending sometime with Jamie while Kathy recovers from the previous week. Jamie seems quite relaxed about things. Jill wants to visit. She’s obviously a bit hurt about being kept out of the loop. Kathy is okay about it – Phil and Jill probably do deserve an apology. But the strain of waiting for the verdict is beginning to tell.
- Elizabeth is still focussed on how awful the trial was for her. Then she manages to make Phil and Jill feel even worse by telling them Shula knew too. Of course, Elizabeth is suffering most from the waiting.
- Jill is actually quite angry about not being told. She simply doesn’t understand. She could have been there to help them all. Kenton does try to explain how Kathy couldn’t cope with people knowing. And he’s worried that the longer the jury is out, it isn’t looking like good news. When Kathy gets back, she copes with Jill and accepts a hug.
- Phil has decided he wants to go ahead and order the new telescope and resists Jill’s attempts to persuade him out of it.
- Sid is nervous about how things went for him too. But Kathy doesn’t blame anyone. They just told the truth and now it’s up to the jury.
