Fallon and Christopher both want Peggy’s flat. Nic gets a party invite from Clarrie.

• Clarrie notices Shula is missing from church, that’s two Sundays running, but unusually Susan isn’t interested; she ropes in Clarrie to help with the surprise 25th anniversary party for Neil and together they pick from Jolene’s buffet menu.
• Nic’s driving lesson from Will is aborted at the start; she’s too upset after criticism from her mum. Later, Clarrie phones Nic to ask if she and William have plans for his birthday. On getting the all clear, Clarrie invites her and the children to a little family party for William. Nic is pleased that Clarrie’s phoned. William then invites her to Gloucester on Friday.
• Fallon tells Jolene she’d like to move into the flat over the shop. Jolene think it’s a great idea; just what Fallon needs. Fallon’s always got on well with Peggy so the landlady will be happy to have her as a tenant.
• Christopher finds Susan in his room, despite her promises, picking up dirty clothes from amongst his squalor. He announces he’s moving into the flat. He’s 20 and had enough. Susan won’t let him use the machine at home but he’s sure he’ll manage just fine with the flat’s one. It’s his decision, not hers, and who’s going to stop him.
