  • Rob questions the wisdom of Helen spending money on maternity wear that she’ll only use for a few months. Quite apart from the necklines being a little low, had they not agreed to not dip into the money gifted them by Peggy, and one rule for Helen and another for him doesn’t seem fair to Rob. He suggests Helen returns the items and looks in charity shops instead.
  • Emma’s nose is out of joint, with Fallon having asked Kirsty to serve at the wedding. Is Fallon sure the extra help is needed? They discuss Lynda’s shepherd’s hut and Emma is a little touchy over Fallon’s comments about Eddie’s efforts. A minor table cloth disaster is averted when Kirsty borrows some from Grey Gables. As they set up for the wedding, the three discuss how to promote the business around Valentine’s Day and Lent. Kirsty’s third failed attempt at calling Helen leaves her thinking. Maybe she can’t answer the phone?
  • It’s the black pudding experimentation and Joe’s secret ingredient is revealed – used tea leaves. Helen is sceptical but Tom is willing to give it a go. On reflection though, Helen muses that if it’s a success, think of all the tea varieties and multiple marketing opportunities. Tom admires Helen’s enterprising brain. Interrupted by Rob, who pours cold water on stocking black pudding at all, he’s feels he’s been bypassed, again, over business decisions. When Helen’s phone rings, she chooses not to answer, in front of Rob.
