  • The Grundys are cashing in today: Joe with free pints from Tom Archer in exchange for the secret black pudding ingredient and Eddie with a down payment from Lynda Snell to build the shepherd’s hut she would like building as a mark of the 30 years she and Robert have been in Ambridge. In the meantime, Eddie has rebuilt Oliver and Caroline’s shed that was lost in the fire and Joe hits on the idea of utilising it as the cider club venue, in the short term.
  • Rodways, the auctioneers are visiting Brookfield to go through the herd records. Neither David nor Ruth are looking forward to the day the cows leave and are anxious to see them go to the right place, given their heritage and the place they’ve occupied in farming through the generations. Ruth has been researching some farms, including Ireland, which will involve a couple of nights away. This ‘mini-break’ perks David up.
  • Lynda and Roy share a moment enjoying the views and Lynda reflects on how fortunate they are to live in such a picturesque place with a vibrant village life. The village hall renovations are taking shape and Lynda is still waiting for inspiration to strike for the opening celebrations. She and Robert will be participating in and contributing to the Big Garden Birdwatch on Sunday.
  • Both Kathy and Roy have imminent birthdays and Roy is set to spend his with Mike, Vicky and Bethany, who are taking him out. Mike is also invited by Joe to the new cider club venue, if he’s in Ambridge this weekend.
