Fallon gets a rejection. Elizabeth gets some advice.
Radio Times: Rhys receives an offer out of the blue and Jill is concerned.
Characters: Elizabeth, Fallon, Jill, Kenton, Kirsty, Rhys- Giggling inanely, Fallon triumphantly tells Kirsty that Naomi has given in her notice. Fallon immediately rings Rhys to offer him the job.
- Jill tells Lynda that she and Christine are researching Elizabethan recipes for the Revels, using, naturally, Tom’s pork. Lynda is impressed, but still anxious about her cast. She asks Kenton to deliver Prospero’s speech as a finale, but Kenton thinks Lynda should do it herself. Hugely flattered, Lynda girlishly agrees.
- Rhys is hesitant about discussing Fallon’s offer at The Bull. He rings her after his shift to refuse her offer. He is happy at The Bull and feels a loyalty to Kenton and Jolene. Fallon is downcast; she and Rhys were such a good team, yet it seems not to have occurred to her that he just might not want to continue working with her.
- Elizabeth shows the consultant’s report to Jill. It contains some worrying criticisms, but equally some interesting new ideas. Jill is concerned for Elizabeth’s health. Sadly, Elizabeth admits that she may have to go ahead with some of the projects that Nigel was against.
