  • Lilian is finding Leonie’s presence more than she can bear. Matt is nowhere to be seen, and Brenda insists that Lilian should sign cheques and letters, refusing to take no for an answer. Lilian is near breaking point when Paul rings, but with Brenda in the room, she is forced to say she will ring him back.
  • Frustrated and stressed, Brenda calls at the units to tell Tom her troubles, but as usual all he can do is bore on about his ready meals and his latest idea. Brenda tries to tell him about her problems at Amside, but Tom’s response is that they should have a night at Jaxx to celebrate his latest success. Unable to find sympathy, Brenda goes back to work.
  • Lilian is appalled when she encounters Leonie and James in a compromising situation. Hugely embarrassed, she rings Paul, who laughs, and offers to come and evict Leonie. When Lilian tells him that Matt has virtually disappeared, Paul asks if they might meet for a coffee. At first Lilian is hesitant, but as she contemplates her current situation, decides to accept.
  • Brenda gets home late to find Tom still prattling on about his meat products. She tells him she is going to have a bath and go to bed. If Tom wants to go to Jaxx, that’s fine.
