Fallon has a night in with Ed and plans a night out with Emma.

• The place to meet today is Ambridge Organics: Lilian tastes the new cheese, made by Helen with Oliver’s milk, and completes the survey; Fallon asks Kirsty if she will do her shift at The Bull because Ed is coming round – purely platonic. Actually she had planned to see Emma.
• Tom is annoyed to be roped in again to help with Home Farm work while Brian is swanning off on another business trip. Adam is very apologetic; he doesn’t know when Brian will be back.
• Lilian has rolled back the carpet and lesson one with Mike begins with a social foxtrot. Matt is in Birmingham.
• Kirsty has persuaded Emma to come to The Bull later, so she can relieve Fallon. Lilian greets Mike as if they hadn’t seen each other for ages. Fallon is at pains to report that she and Ed are not going out – and they are not “going out” either. She has had a disappointment because two members of the band she was going to practise with on Thursday have cried off; she arranges to join the girls’ night out. Emma is really looking forward to it – she doesn’t get out much these days.
