Fallon has made the massive error of judgement in hiring Kate to help out at Emma’s wedding.

Radio Times: Adam is ambitious. Meanwhile, has Fallon made the right decision?

Characters: , , , , , , ,
  • Brian is horrified at the price Kate has paid for a designer lamp. Phoebe doesn’t like it either. Kate says it’s warm, but cool yet alive. She insists to Jennifer that it’s on trend. She is finally moving into the cottage and is still claiming that Phoebe will be staying over. It appears that Kate is the new recruit to Fallon’s business and is spending the money already, despite the course fees. Adam is going to improve the soil where it has eroded with a herbal ley which Kate likes to pretend she understands about – maybe they can have a picnic there. Brian is not keen on a hippy commune however.
  • Lynda gets depressed again at the state of the Village Hall. Fallon tries to convince her things will be fine in due course. The Ambridge Hall is making progress though. Eddie has finished the conservatory foundations and they have quotes for some of the other work. Meanwhile Robert is preparing the map for International Dawn Chorus day next week. Who knew?! Then Fallon puts her foot in it by saying Jennifer has agreed to put in an appearance at May Day. Lynda sniffs that SAVE is supposed to be a team event.
  • Brian supports Adam’s idea of a herbal ley but not the length of time Adam wants to leave it down. Adam says it’s only 15 hectares; it is hardly going to break the bank.
  • Fallon describes the plans for Emma’s reception at Bridge Farm. Kate doesn’t do much to cheer things up talking about her failed wedding and says that Emma has been round the block so she knows what she is taking on. Sooner or later, all couples develop contempt for each other and as for the physical side…. Finally Fallon manages to shut her up.
  • Jennifer rather rubs Lynda’s nose in it too by talking about her likely profile in the media at May Day. She pointedly says that she will be shaking buckets on the day. But the main point is that they get the SAVE message to as many people as possible.
