  • ‘The party’ seems to be the hot topic in Ambridge; Susan shares with Jazzer the sample canapés. Jazzer reports on Tom’s state of mind in a very sympathetic fashion.
  • Meanwhile Fallon is in touch with Kirsty who is being molly-coddled by her mum; it’s driving her round the bend. Jennifer has divulged her theme: land. Harrison is sure that Fallon will come up with something. He has his own worries: none of the women he has approached want to join the cricket team.
  • Eddie reports to Clarrie that their recent visitors, the Braithwaites, have put some glowing comments on the website. They did however yearn for en-suite facilities and Eddie has a cunning plan for that.
  • Phoebe is the latest to turn Harrison down; she reckons she is too old! Eddie resists Harrison’s overtures to attend the Cricket Club AGM. As Eddie and Harrison repair to the darts board, Jazzer confides in Fallon that he has Tom and Kirsty on his mind; she encourages him to give Kirsty a call but he is afraid of saying the wrong thing. Do it, Jazzer, it would mean a lot to her.
  • As they put out the chairs in the village hall, Clarrie unveils Eddie’s cunning plan to Susan; he wants them to move out of the master bedroom (with the en-suite facilities) and make it available for guests. Clarrie is still uneasy about the whole venture but Susan encourages her to go for it, en-suite and all. Market Grange Farm properly and Clarrie could be sitting on a gold mine.
