  • Susan is agitating over her October photograph on the charity calendar, which is now available for public scrutiny. She is worried over her increasing number of wrinkles and while Neil tries to reassure her, she contemplates more drastic facial minor surgery.
  • Helen and Kirsty share a coffee at the tearooms and Helen is impressed with the good job that Fallon and Emma have done with it. She continues to feel a little self-conscious about being out in public in case people recognise her from the press and TV coverage. Kirsty is keen for Helen to check her joint bank account, which she has been putting off. Helen agrees to do it and acknowledges that she is scared of what she may find, and with just cause. Rob has cleaned out the account including all Helen’s savings, earnings and the gift from Peggy. This is the final straw for Helen, which galvanises her into instructing her solicitor to commence divorce proceedings.
  • Neil seeks out Kate to enquire about facial treatments for Susan. He diplomatically mentions Susan’s concerns and Kate cautions against chemical peels, facelifts and their toxicity. Kate is on her way to the shop so chats with Susan directly about Neil wishing to treat Susan for her Birthday. Susan is sceptical and mindful of money, so decides that Kate’s recommended detoxing juice cleanse, can be done independently at home.
  • Against Kate’s advice, Susan makes her way over to the shop at Bridge Farm to buy her juice ingredients for a DIY detox. Helen serves her having just called her solicitor and she tells Susan her plans. Susan apologises for having been so wrong about Rob, and encourages Helen to get on with removing him from her life.
