Helen is forced home to rest by Lilian. Peggy attends.
Radio Times: Lilian sticks her oar in and Helen is reluctant to take advice.
Characters: Andrew Eagleton, Annabelle, Brian, Helen, Lilian, Peggy- Lilian is running late after insisting Helen go home to rest her knee, following her home to make sure driving wasn’t a problem, and then apologising to Peggy for missing lunch. Peggy gets a lift to Helen’s flat, makes her tea, and chats; the Royal engagement and how it is a good age to get married. Helen sees it coming; Peggy wishes she didn’t have to go through the pregnancy alone. It’s been easier than I expected, says Helen.
- Brian is hoping the inaugural meeting of Borchester Market Developments doesn’t take to long as he would like to catch the end of the shoot. Lilian arrives, a little breathless, and then has a couple of changes to suggest to the market plans when everyone else was ready to submit them to the council. She loses both arguments and when she steps out Andrew comments that it’s like a séance with Lilian channelling Matt, including his phrase “I broadly agree” that means the opposite. Brian quips that if she produces a large Havana and plays with a cigar cutter they will know she’s completely possessed. Annabelle says a dissenting voice will keep them on their toes.
