Helen’s story has made the Sunday tabloids and Rob is no better. Henry is clearly very disturbed.

Radio Times: Clarrie has some words of advice and Henry is playing up.

Characters: , , , , ,
  • Henry is having really disturbed nights and won’t stay in his own bed. He is having bad dreams. Whatever he saw in Blossom Hill Cottage is getting all mixed up with fairy stories. And in his dreams he is always the one being threatened. Pat doesn’t think it’s surprising since he’s seen his mother wielding a knife. She doesn’t think Henry should go back to school tomorrow though Tony thinks they should see. They’ll have to go to the cottage anyway to get his uniform and some clothes for Helen. They don’t know why she hasn’t rung but at least they’ll be able to arrange a visit soon.
  • Tom has visited the cottage to get some stuff for Henry. He tells Clarrie that Rob is still very ill. Clarrie has to tell him there is something in the Sunday tabloids about Helen. They have a picture of her from Blithe Spirit looking like a witch. Tom is furious. The picture of Rob is showing him looking like a regular dad doing his bit for the community. Tom says it is nothing compared to what is being said on social media.
  • Neil visits Eddie at Grange Farm. The pigs have made a real mess. Eddie says he’ll be able to sort it. They discuss the papers and Eddie says Helen deserves it. Rob didn’t stab himself. Clarrie is furious with him. Something must have happened to make her do it.
  • Tom tells Tony Ursula is not in a good state either. Tony says when John died he didn’t think anything could be so bad but now to lose a second child. Tony doesn’t understand it. Rob is just a normal bloke. Tom says he has methods for getting his way. He just won’t give up. Remember the scotch eggs. Tony can’t believe Rob is a Jekyll and Hyde character. Tom says but he is prepared to believe his daughter could undertake an unprovoked attack. Tony says of course not but there is no denying that she did attack her husband.
  • Clarrie feels guilty by association. Neil doesn’t understand. It turns out he hadn’t heard about Alf stealing the money. But they insist they will pay it back just as soon as the shepherd’s hut is finished. Eddie thinks he’s sorted out the flue problem. Neil says it’s a fine example of traditional craftsmanship.
  • Tom wonders if they should reopen the shop. Fallon says strange people are still coming into the shop. Pat comes back in after another major tantrum from Henry. There is no way he can go back to school. They haven’t told him anything yet. Just that there was an accident and Daddy is in hospital and Mummy is looking after him. They can’t decide what to say until they’ve spoken to Helen and if they know if Rob is going to survive.
