  • Roy proudly tells Lewis that the brewery representative was most impressed with Lower Loxley and will recommend sponsorship to his board. Meanwhile Lewis is in need of more marketing ideas from his ideas session with the staff. Bert suggests an Upstairs Downstairs exhibition, which meets with Lewis’ approval, as does Hayley’s suggestion of a passport, giving purchasers unlimited access to Lower Loxley, in return for which they will undoubtedly spend money in the orangery and the gift shop every time.
  • Jim is less fortunate with ideas. He needs to find a subject for his article who does not live in Ambridge, which means that neither Jazzer nor Derek Fletcher is suitable. Jazzer suggests a trip to The Bull for inspiration, and it comes with Bert’s idea of interviewing Iftikar – the perfect subject.
  • While Roy orders food at the bar, Hayley goes to talk to Jazzer, who is looking miserable. He admits that it is because of Rhys and Fallon. Rhys had better treat her right or he will answer to Jazzer.
