Jill foresees tragedy.

Radio Times: Jill foresees tragedy.

Characters: , , , , , ,
  • It’s Peggy’s birthday and, despite Jack’s best efforts, she’s not enjoying the day as much as she might, what with the week’s sad news.
  • Grange Farm’s turkeys are having a tough time too, lots of fights and bloodied birds and Eddie’s running out of thing to try to cure the problem.
  • William was putting out grain for the pheasants and was seen by Mike, who teased him about the “poaching”.
  • The arrangements for the funeral are in hand, with Peggy finding a favourite poem of Pru’s – but she doesn’t feel up to reading it. George is not enjoying today’s shoot, and partly this is the thought that time is limited and that at least Pru and Tom had spent some time together. Jill is a little gloomy too, worrying about her children, what with David and the farm’s problems, Lizzie and the situation with Julia and her worries over Shula’s wedding. She’s pleased that everyone else is sure that the wedding will succeed, so she’s got six weeks to try and convince herself.
