  • Eddie calls Jill over to look at the notice that has been posted for the public question and answer session about Berrow Farm. While Eddie bad-mouths Charlie Thomas and speculates over the cause of the plight of the herd, Jill is even-handed and urges Eddie not to listen to or spread gossip until the facts are made plain. She reassures Eddie that although she is out of sorts and forgetful at the moment, it has nothing to do with Joe’s ghostly tales. Jill later plucks up the courage to visit Brookfield to speak to Ruth, only to be told by Bert that she has just missed Ruth and he does not know what time she will return. A disappointed Jill will try another time. Is this conversation destined to happen?
  • Rob’s working party is in full swing, with Pat painting and Bert’s carpentry put to work on the fruit and vegetable racks. Helen arrives with Fallon’s branding and logo ideas for the cafe, with which she and Tom are pleased. Pat agrees and praises Fallon for her hard work. Rob is full of criticism, preferring his own branding ideas. He makes some derogatory comments about both Fallon and Emma’s efforts and Pat and Helen defend their friends. With Tom and Helen at the helm, Pat and Rob insist that Helen has the final say on the cafe name. Helen votes for Fallon’s choice – which Tom has also sanctioned: The Ambridge Tea Room. Later at home, Rob sulks, refusing to eat with Helen, preferring to take himself off to The Bull. He accuses Helen of undermining him in front of Pat and also of having blatant disregard for all he said to her yesterday about taking a step back and looking after her health. He tells her she is not strong and will break down.
  • Eddie is getting concerned that there have been no orders for turkeys since the website went live, but Clarrie reassures him that there is still plenty of time. He just hopes that they won’t suffer in the wake of the Fairbrothers’ geese. He takes Clarrie to Keepers Cottage for a preview now the decorators are almost finished. The standard of refurbishment is beyond anything Clarrie could have imagined and she is delighted.
