Joe and Lynda have a scare when the pony and trap bolts; Alastair’s surgery plans get the thumbs up from Lewis; Jack offers the use of the Bentley for Sid’s stag night
Radio Times: A rough ride for Lynda.
Characters: Alistair, Christine, Joe, Jolene, Lewis, Lynda, Sid- Lynda is enjoying her ride in Joe’s pony and trap. She’s happier now about Bartleby sharing the paddock with Baby Spice. Joe wonders if the Vicar will turn up at the meeting. Will she have the nerve? So gossip is spreading. It’s all very annoying when it means they will lose the vicar and the surgery. Bartleby is startled by a dog and bolts with Joe and Lynda behind him.
- Fallon has turned out to be a very beautiful girl. She’s still thinking about Dross but hasn’t reached a decision. Sid is surprised Ruth is interested in the male strippers at the hen night but Jolene thinks she’s really up for it. Jack Wooley is coming to Sid’s stag night and has even offered them the Bentley. Which makes it easier to justify Jolene’s plans for the stretch limo!
- Lynda is still rather shocked but Alistair has saved the day by turning Bartleby. The dog was Charlie belonging to Marjorie. Seems no one has seen her recently.. Alistair has had some people cancelling his business because of the drugs. Lynda seems suddenly impressed with Alistair’s veterinary prowess. Not quite what she thought last week when Persephone died.
- Lewis thinks Alistair’s plans for the surgery look fairly straightforward. Depends on whether he can secure the finance though. He is sure it’s the right move but can he attract enough clients to pay for it.
- Lynda is taking some time to recover from the shock. She’s certainly not going home with Joe. The fete is coming along but they don’t really have a show piece. They’ll have to come up with something new.
- Joe is concerned about what he can get Jolene and Sid for their wedding but what Jolene really wants is for Joe to take the bridesmaid and pageboy to the reception in his pony and trap.
