  • Rex is back from his father’s. He is a bit better. Josh is off to try to buy a new mower for the farm. He had to persuade David so he’ll have to be sure to get a good deal. Rex is asking about Toby and his love life but Josh chooses not to talk about it. David appears and clearly starts hinting about Pip. Josh distracts him. Rex still doesn’t know. They do agree a £4k limit for the mower.
  • Toby is whining about being blamed for the Flower and Produce mess up and Pip is getting fed up with sneaking looks out of the window to see if Rex is round. If Toby won’t tell Rex, she will. And she won’t have him lying around in bed. They’ve both got work to do.
  • Josh and Johnny have a look around a mower which Josh thinks is great. Johnny spots something he thinks is an oil leak but Josh says it isn’t. Josh is convinced he doesn’t need a degree. He tells Johnny that his gap year might be permanent. All the important stuff he learned on the farm. He thinks he should be taking quick opportunities. He doesn’t want to be milking cows all his life. And this mower might be a good little earner …
  • Pip visits Rex at Hollowtree and says she is pleased to see him. He’s glad to be back though he’ll owe Toby a good few shifts now he’s back. Rex hasn’t spoken to Toby yet but he does turn up eventually. Pip leaves them to it. Toby does try to tell Rex he has a “bit of news” to tell him. But then they start talking about Alice’s birthday party and Rex says he isn’t keen on seeing yet another guy making out with Pip. So suddenly now isn’t the right time for Toby’s bit of news.
  • Josh and Johnny get back with the new mower at £3.2k. Almost brand new. David is still a bit sceptical. It will all be down to how it performs. Johnny tries to back Josh up but is a bit doubtful about his bidding technique.
