  • It’s got to be this week! What nefarious deeds are Toby and Josh cooking up, while Rex is out of the way? Pip calls at Hollowtree expecting to see Rex but finds Toby instead, who suggests she does the voice-over for the revised version of his film; she at least agrees to have dinner with him on Thursday – he’s cooking – to look at the film. Pip is surprised that Rex is so keen to come with her on a farm visit this week; Toby explains that a day out with her is what Rex finds exciting.
  • Helen is still having trouble getting Jack to breast-feed. The nights are long and she is so sore. Why is she bothering, she asks her new friend Kaz. They enjoy being out in the fresh air; they could almost forget this is a prison but for the 15 foot walls!
  • Jill describes to Pip how Richard Locke drove Carol to the hospital yesterday and managed to expedite her treatment. She doubts if Carol will heed advice about resting her wrist: she declined Jill’s offer of help. Pip thinks Josh is up to something. Pip is right …
  • Josh and Toby are moving hens and Josh is anxious that Neil should not catch them doing it: he has not yet squared it with Neil but he is moving some of the hens (his hens, he insists) to pastures new – literally – to bolster the production of Upper Class Eggs and hence meet Toby’s restaurant order. Josh will tell him, though he doubts if Neil would even notice, so little time does he spend on the hens these days. Rex will be away until Sunday. (No good will come of this!)
