Rob makes an audacious request – to spend Father’s Day with Henry.

Radio Times: Emma deals with an emergency, and Pat is put out.

  • Clarrie has been on her own in the dairy today but Susan has kept calling her over to the shop to deliver this yogurt or that yogurt. That’s Susan! Tony has been to see Helen and reports that she has been out in the sun and has some colour in her cheeks.
  • Back at Grange Farm, Clarrie is confronted with a crisis. Emma is mopping up a flood. Joe had run a bath in the main bathroom, which has no overflow. The Sterlings are due to come over tomorrow, so Emma has told them they all have a vomiting bug; that will give them more time to sort out the mess.
  • Tom has enjoyed a day away from the farm, shearing in Wales. Now he is enjoying a welcome pint with Ed. Jazzer is there too but he is busy seducing the local virgins. Ed confides that he is wondering what to do with the land at Grange Farm for which he still has the tenancy. Sheep perhaps?
  • Tony has some good news for Pat. Helen can nominate people who can take Jack out of the prison, so Tony will be able to bring her grandson out to meet her. Hardly has this joy swept over Pat, when there is a knock at the door. It’s Rob. He starts with snide reproach for not hearing Henry read on Sunday; his teacher was cross about it. He has a proposition: he would like to spend Father’s Day with his son but of course it is a Sunday, an Archer day. He suggests that they have Henry another day instead – and that he stays overnight. It’s not just for Rob’s benefit: Henry wants it too! Rob finally leaves without an answer but with a promise that Tony will get back to him. Left to Pat it will not happen: he is not going to push them around.
