Josh has got the TV company coming to film the hens.
Radio Times: It is a busy day on the Green and Lilian picks up a bargain.
Characters: Eddie, Josh, Lilian, Lynda, Pip, Rex- It seems that Ambridge got hammered at yesterday’s cricket match so Rex is feeling guilty that he forbade Toby to play. They have had lots of enquiries about the eggs, so moving the hens to their newly rebuilt egg-mobile is a priority. When Josh joins them he is full of the high profile that Upper Class Eggs has on social media. That must explain all the calls.
- Lynda lodges yet another complaint with Eddie about her shepherd’s hut: the stove is smoking. Eddie thinks it is due to a change in wind direction. He suggests they try a rotating cowl but he makes it clear that it will cost Lynda extra; she make it clear that she won’t pay until it is proven to work.
- Josh having failed to get a free drink out of his sister, buys a pitcher for the three of them. He reports that Henry was throwing a tantrum because Ursula had not allowed his choice of sugary drink. Josh has a whinge about Open Farm Sunday not featuring his hens but a call from Matthew removes Pip from the argument – for now.
- Although the best stuff has long gone from the jumble stall, Lilian spots two ‘chinese’ vases of interest for the Dower House, in amongst a box of stuff. Lynda insists she takes the whole boxful.
- Rex is planning to move the hens tomorrow but Josh has other plans: the local TV are coming to film them in the caravan – but not until next week, on Thursday – so the hens must stay ‘on holiday’ until then.
- When Eddie helps Lilian move her boxes of Borchester slipware he spots something in the box of ‘junk’; Lilian is only too pleased to let him have it. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
