  • The least Darrell can do is to help Neil while his arm is still out of action. Darrell is not looking forward to dinner at the Aldridges’. But first, Josh wants a word with Neil: thwarted in his buy-out plans, Josh suggests that they sell him a share in the business, then he could put into practice some of his marketing ideas. Neil wonders what mum and dad think of this idea.
  • After bumping into Jennifer, Elona makes it very clear to Darrell that she also is not looking forward to an evening lying to Jennifer and Brian.
  • On the way to Home Farm, Neil has a word with David about Josh’s partnership plan; he’d better have a talk to Josh himself.
  • Jennifer heaps praise on Darrell and Neil for their bravery and on Elona for making such a difference to Peggy; of course they must also celebrate the arrest of the gunman! Darrell lacks conviction in this; ever since Des was arrested he has been waiting for a knock on the door.
  • As casually as he can, David steers Josh towards telling him about the hens – which he does. David needs to know more but basically he applauds Josh’s initiative; he is proud of his son.
  • With the excuse of Elona’s early shift, Darrell and Elona make good their escape. Never again! Elona has had enough of the worries, lies and debts. It’s all over between them. She wants a divorce.
