Caroline’s testing Shula on horse’s anatomy ahead of the next stage of her instructor’s award – and she’s got lots on her mind, it’s Daniel’s birthday on Saturday, the guest list has been drawn up and she’s still unsure that her mother is happy with the wedding – Caroline suggests that she get her involved more, maybe with the choice of outfit?
It’s the day of the art sale at Lower Loxley and the sale itself goes well, with both Lizzie and Julia proving able sellers, but Lizzie and Nigel are more worried with Julia’s state. Nigel’s had another phone call from Ronald Hardwicke and Julia’s admitted that she doesn’t have any of the money she owes. When this is combined with the amount of wine flowing at the sale, they’re worried that she might hit the bottle again. They confront her later, but she believably denies the charges. She has, though, been offered several thousand pounds for a portrait of her late husband – which she declined.
Jack’s worrying about tomorrow’s shoot, especially in the light of the success of Brian’s one earlier in the week. George is confident, but isn’t so happy with the news that there’s no progress regarding his replacement. Good keepers are hard to find it seems.
