  • Jennifer is really excited that Phoebe is applying for PPE at Oxford. She’s been researching colleges for her. Kate then arrives to demand to know which building she can have for her therapy centre and Brian is rather surprised to hear her talking about planning permission. He says she must talk to Adam. But she insists Brian goes with her. Jennifer has also heard from Roy that he and Kathy are recruiting the temporary health club manager and is very chuffed.
  • Helen is worrying about the shop and, surprise, surprise, maybe they should stock some national brands. Pat says that would spoil what makes the brand special. She felt the same when they went organic. It’s a risk but they shouldn’t compromise their principles. There aren’t enough shops where people can shop organically. Helen and Tom will put Bridge Farm on the map. Jennifer arrives and comments that Helen is looking very pale. She blames it on Henry starting school.
  • Adam isn’t impressed at Brian giving away buildings and land to Kate. She wants her yurts in the shade and for Adam to dig her compost loos. Brian tries to persuade her to have portaloos on a temporary basis. And she wants Adam to tidy up the field because it looks messy! Brian thinks it all very amusing. Adam tells him he sounds like a dinosaur.
  • Jennifer enjoys telling Pat and Helen that Phoebe is applying for Oxford, though she is worried that she will be up against tough competition. Pat says the school wouldn’t be putting her forward if they weren’t confident that she would do well.
  • Henry is enjoying school but Pat comments that if she’d had the time she’d have liked to home school all of the children. Helen admits Henry is wetting the bed and that he has said that he likes all the children except Joseph. She wonders if he is bullying Henry. Pat says it is early days and Helen admits that that is what Rob says too. She has to let Henry grow up. But she misses him so much. Pat says at least she has Rob and Helen agrees. He’s really great……
