Kathy is facing an inquisition. Helen is facing the imminent arrival of Rob’s wife, Jess.

Radio Times: Fallon enjoys a gossip and there is an awkward moment for Rob.

  • A sausage crisis? Oh, no! Tom being otherwise engaged, Helen is making a delivery to Jaxx; it gives her and Fallon a chance to catch up. Apparently Brenda has sent photos to Kirsty of St Petersburg, though not of her ‘new bloke’; Helen has not told Tom about this. Fallon reports that her mum is buzzing. Helen reports that Lilian is odd; something is amiss there.
  • Still busy with his dairy staff welcome pack, Rob is photographing the golf club. It is light relief for Kathy compared to an encounter with Martin Gibson; he has been tasked to do a performance review of every aspect of the club’s operation, now that the manager, Tony has gone. Today is just an initial recce; he will do an in-depth analysis to find out where they are failing. Failing? Let’s say under-achieving. Kathy thinks this is an over-reaction but she is nevertheless asked to provide year-on-year figures by Monday.
  • Passing by Blossom Hill Cottage, Helen has an idea to discuss with Rob; it’s something to go in his welcome pack: Arkwright Hall. He would be welcome to come with her and Henry next time they go, on Saturday. No. He can’t. Jess is making her first visit to Ambridge. Helen thinks it would be good to meet her but he is not sure of their plans. Ah well, have a great weekend – and Jess.
