Kathy is still claiming that her self pitying is in Jamie’s best interests and that Kenton should just understand how she feels.

Radio Times: Jamie wants a little less conversation and Pat offers some good advice.

Characters: Elizabeth, Jamie, Josh, Kathy, Pat, Ruth

• Kathy is still trying to get Jamie to talk about Sid but Jamie seems to want to put things behind him. He doesn’t want anything from Sid and would rather play football with Josh. Talking is a waste of time and doesn’t change anything.
• Elizabeth comes clean with Ruth about knowing about Pip and to driving in for her missed exam. Ruth understands about the extra shifts but is more annoyed that she knew about the exams. Elizabeth says she understands and no more secrets. They agree that Pip going away would be a bad thing and that she shouldn’t be encouraged.
• Kathy is still trying to make out she is suffering more than anyone else. She has to make Jamie want to open up and Kenton is no help. He just tries to smooth things over promising a holiday at Christmas to New Zealand. Surely he can see how awful that would be? Kenton should know automatically how she is feeling; she shouldn’t have to tell him. Pat tries to defend him but Kathy isn’t prepared to listen. She won’t even make the effort to visit Jaxx. Pat tells her she needs to meet Kenton half way but she is still only interested in herself, claiming it’s because it’s right for Jamie.
