Kenton makes a dramatic recovery. Alistair has a brush with the law. Eddie sets his sights on stardom.
Radio Times: Alistair comes to an unexpected halt.
Characters: Alistair, Eddie, Kenton, Ruth, Ryan- Ruth overhears Eddie rehearsing Dame Trot’s lines in the milking parlour. Eddie’s convinced that Mike’s illness will cause Lynda to reassign the part to him.
- Alistair runs into an excessively healthy Kenton outside Jaxx, though when he sees Alistair, Kenton’s symptoms suddenly recur. Kenton asks some intrusive questions about GA, but Alistair is saved by a call from Ruth about a sick cow.
- The Grundy Christmas has been hit by the swap club, though the turkeys are selling well. Joe’s upset by a card from Mildred, and won’t hear Eddie’s lines.
- Out delivering cards, Ruth also meets Kenton, and with a false show of sympathy, lets it slip that Eddie is looking to take on Mike’s part. Kenton’s recovery is complete – he’ll be back at the next rehearsal.
- After the GA meeting, Alistair discovers that his car is missing; it’s been towed away because the tax is out of date. Shula mustn’t find out, so Ryan gives him a lift home. Ryan is very impressed with Ambridge and Alistair’s house.
