Lilian has agreed to meet Justin tomorrow. She has to tell him how she feels.

Radio Times: Brian puts his foot in it, and Kirsty wants to make amends.

Characters: Alice, Brian, Jennifer, Lilian, Peggy

• Jennifer is pressing Lilian to know where she will be. She is obviously upset and tells Jennifer he proposed – well not proposed just assumed and started rattling on about the honeymoon and what sort of wedding they want. Lilian says she never asked him to leave Miranda and she certainly didn’t ask him to propose. Jennifer is surprised she hasn’t jumped at it. Lilian says, to be honest, she doesn’t know how she feels about him. She’d kept a lid on all of those sorts of feelings and now she doesn’t know how she feels.
• Brian and Alice barge in. Alice is going to give Brian a presentation on how her new technology would really work for Home Farm. Peggy is coming for lunch and Lilian begs her not to tell her about the situation. She’ll be promoted from adulteress to marriage wrecker.
• Brian says he is impressed by her presentation but when pressed on whether he would buy the package, he just says he’ll think about it.
• Jennifer collects Peggy and they bump into Kirsty who wants to see Peggy. They make an appointment for later. The lunch goes quite well until Brian asks Lilian when would be the best time to see Justin and Peggy plays the matriarch and demands to know if Lilian is a liar as well as a cheat.
• When Kirsty goes to see Peggy she says she is feeling better after a rough patch and Roy and Helen have been taking care of her. She tries to return the cheque but Peggy says it wasn’t a down payment on another grandchild. It’s always good to have a nest egg. Peggy says she has no idea how the family would have coped over the last year without Kirsty. She wants Kirsty to take the cheque as a mark of gratitude. Kirsty says she certainly knows how to get her own way. And she does accept though she doesn’t know what she will do with it.
• Alice is disappointed that Brian hasn’t made a decision but she says it was fun working out how she could use her solutions on their own land. Peggy tells Jennifer she is seeing Justin tomorrow. She has to tell him how she feels.
