Ian is less than gracious about it, pointing out that Roy has probably ruined their chances of having a baby. Carina said the reason was geographical distance, but Ian knows she thought that a violent prospective parent was every reason not to go ahead with the surrogacy. All Roy can do now is to make the sure the staff treat Ian gently.
- In need of alcohol again, and not wanting to sit alone in the Dower House, Lilian calls at The Bull. Jolene is astounded that Lilian let Matt get away after all he has done. On reflection, though, she sees that Lilian did love Matt once, and Jolene concedes she realises that must have been the reason for Lilian’s acting as she did. Lilian claims that she now feels only pity for Matt. She is glad to have him out of her life.
- DI Thorpe praises Harrison for his work on the Matt Crawford hit and run. Harrison goes over the list of suspects in the attempted murder. Neither Adam nor Justin has an alibi. But could someone with a grudge against Matt following the fraud be responsible?
- Adam rings Ian. The police want to speak to him again. Adam fears that he may be charged with attempted murder.
